Baseball, Books & Blessings

In effort to provide a distraction to my studying (and to preserve my sanity!) I figured I would catalog the events of our lives for our friends and family who we miss so much! I warn you now.. I chose the medical profession for a reason! I am no writing whiz but I hope that doesn't scare you away from reading :)
When deciding the name of this blog, I wanted a title that was a good representation of our life. And anyone who knows us at the slightest bit, knows that baseball is pretty much the center of our lives right now. Although, now that I am knee deep and going about 95 miles per hour into PA school, it is safe to say that my schedule is unfortunately no longer centered around Raynor's baseball schedule anymore. Instead, it is dictated by the whirlwind that is PA school.. Which leads me to the second word of the blog title "books". But, I really don't want to talk about school so I will move on to the last word of the title "blessings". :) This word may be the best description of our lives because the Lord has truly blessed us in so many ways.  In fact, I was listening to Joyce Meyer the other morning (I definitely recommend watching her sermons or reading her books.. She is amazing!) and she inspired me to try something new: list 10 things you are thankful for aloud every morning. Let me tell you it is wonderful how thanking the Lord can put you in such a positive mood for the rest of the day! As I have been doing this, I have come to realize that the Lord has blessed us abundantly and we are so excited about the future He has planned for us!
